A Pipe Camera Inspection Can Help Your Plumber

Posted on: 3 February 2021

When your pipes stop working the way that they should, you want to make sure that you have a plumber come out to look at them. In some cases, the plumber may be able to find the problem easily, but the majority of your plumbing is buried in the walls of your house or the ground outside your house. That can make it much harder for a plumber to find out the problem. There are different ways that the plumber can find out what is going on with your plumbing. One is that they can use a pipe camera to inspect your pipes so that they can try to find the problem.

Pipe Camera

This is a camera that is on the end of a long fiber optic cable. It generally has a light too, which will light up the pipe so that the plumber will be able to see what's happening on the display at the other end of the cable. The plumber can introduce the camera into your plumbing system in a number of places. Because the fiber optic is so flexible, it can go around all the bends, turns, and corners that show up in the system. There are several reasons to talk to a plumber about using a camera to inspect your pipes.

Less Destructive

One reason is that inspecting your pipes this way is going to be less destructive. It is less destructive because the plumber isn't going to have to break down a lot of walls, pull up a lot of flooring, or dig up your yard trying to figure out what the problem is. With the camera, the plumber will be able to look through the system, find the problem, diagnose it, and tell you what the options are. If they have to uncover the pipes to repair the problem, the plumber will be able to go to the area where the problem is and just demo that particular place. It's going to be quicker and easier for the plumber, which will lead to a quicker repair for you and get your plumbing back to functional faster.

If you are worried because your plumbing isn't working right, you can call a plumber. The plumber can send a camera through your pipes to pinpoint what the problem is. Then they will be able to fix the problem and get your plumbing working again the way that it should.

Irrigation Implementation: An Overview

When I decided to install an irrigation system in my yard, I thought it would be an easy project. I had no idea how much was really involved in the process, from connecting the sprinkler system to the main plumbing line all the way to burying the individual lines for the sprinkler heads. After researching the entire process and learning as I went, I created this site to give others the benefit of my experience. I hope that the information here helps you be better prepared for what you can expect out of your irrigation system installation, including knowing when it's time to turn to a plumber for help.
